St. Dunstan’s Montessori School

St. Dunstan’s operates a school based on the Montessori Method of Education, through which children develop a lifelong love for learning. The 60 children in our school are ages three months through entry to first grade.

The school has been in operation since 1997 and adopted the Montessori Method in 2018.

A Wealth of Programs, Curriculum and Visitors

In addition to the classroom curriculum, the school offers yoga and mindfulness practices to students. They also occasionally receive visitors who tell them about their work, such as the first responders from the Mid Valley fire station.  Summer camp provides activities when school is out.

St. Dunstan’s Montessori School receives support from the parish, but most of its income is generated from tuition and fundraising, including an annual golf tournament held with the involvement of the neighboring Carmel Valley Ranch resort.

The children have twice-weekly chapel with St. Dunstan’s rector and a lay assistant.

St. Dunstan’s Montessori School enjoys a stellar reputation that has resulted in a waiting list for enrollment.

Prestigious Memberships

The school is a member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
