Governance and Management at St. Dunstan’s

St. Dunstan’s is proud of the collaborative nature of the relationships among the clergy, vestry, staff, and parish ministry leaders and volunteers.  With the guidance and leadership of the rector, these multiple and varied roles provide St. Dunstan’s with the human talent every organization needs to thrive.

The Vestry

The Vestry manages St. Dunstan’s assets, including the church campus and rectory, its finances, and its programs for maintenance and repair of church property.  The Vestry also stays attuned to the dynamics of parish life, maintaining a system of contact with leaders of our principal ministries to ensure that issues and needs are anticipated and promptly addressed.

Foundation Board

St. Dunstan’s Foundation Board operates independently from the Vestry, though some individuals have seats on both boards.  The Foundation’s charter requires it to provide support, as needed, to ministries of St. Dunstan’s Church, and also to community organizations whose work aligns with St. Dunstan’s outreach goals.

Church Administration

Administration of the church is overseen by the rector but carried out with the involvement of full-time and part-time staff who are experienced professionals, and at this time, are also members of St. Dunstan’s.  There is a warm spirit of cooperation between the vestry and the parish staff. The parish administrator attends and participates in vestry meetings in a non-voting capacity.
